ABOUT YOUR RETREAT

Intention

To bring inward awareness & mindfulness - to release anger, hate, blame & shame with compassion, patience & understanding. To provide a space where students can have their own direct experience, aligning to a path of love & stepping into the peace that is their true nature.

Who is this for?

Students who are prepared for a transformation, are poised to embrace higher levels of consciousness, actively pursuing a deepening of love within their lives, and are ready for whatever that may entail.

How will this affect the world?

As each individual balances their nervous system, unifies the mind and heart, and expands their consciousness, a shift in their personal vibration naturally occurs. This upliftment and healing generate a positive frequency causing a rise to the positive (sattvic) vibration of the world.

: What People Are Saying :

“My family and I attended the one-day yoga/meditation retreat and thoroughly enjoyed it!

Mandy's thoughtfulness and kindness were evident in every aspect of the day, which was perfectly planned. Our swag bags were generous and included useful, thoughtful items applicable both to meditation and everyday life; these items are beautiful and much appreciated! Both the yoga and meditation sessions were well-planned and easy to follow. Information provided insight into the principles of meditation and had something for those at all levels of practice. I would recommend her courses to anyone.” ~ Rose

FAQ

Do we need yoga or meditation experience to join?

No experience is necessary, just an openness to learn and explore tools and practices for the mind, body and spirit.

What ages can attend?

We recommend ages 16 - 65 years. Ideally, the participant needs a general level of mobility for the yoga practices and the ability to sit for 1.5 hrs at a time for the workshops. Mandy will always offer alternative postures if she’s aware of any injuries or mobility considerations of the guests.

Is this a lgbtqqip2saa safe event?

We welcome all people and this is a safe space for lgbtqqip2saa to attend.

What if I have an injury and can’t do all the postures?

Mandy will always do her best to accommodate injury or considerations in the body, however, it’s the responsibility of the participant to know what is or is not okay for them to do. If there is any concern about further injury, we recommend checking with your doctor or physiotherapist making sure gentle yoga is acceptable for you.

Can I arrive late?

We allow a maximum 10 min late entry into the retreat, however, if Mandy is informed ahead of starting the retreat, she can let you know when it would be appropriate timing to join without disrupting the group. For example, if Mandy has started the opening ceremony, the late participant will be asked to wait until it is completed to join the talk.

Can I come for only a half day?

The design of the retreat day has a flow of practices and information that are woven into each other, building depth as we go. If you wish to come only to the morning or the afternoon session, contact Mandy directly. If you can be accommodated, there will be a new pricing for these circumstances.

Is there parking onsite?

Yes, there is plenty of parking at the Estate.

Do you accommodate allergies for lunch?

Absolutely, Mandy is the allergy-accommodating queen! However, we can’t guarantee no cross-contamination, although we do our very best. Our kitchen and the restaurants we work with aren’t specialized for severe allergies and we ask the participants to take care of any severe allergy needs.

Do I need to bring a mat, towel, swimsuit?

You should bring a yoga mat, a cushion/pillow for meditation if you already have one and any other props you might like for meditation. Mandy will supply blocks, straps and bolsters as well as a few extra yoga mats if you don’t have one. Please inform Mandy if you don’t have a yoga mat. There is a lovely swimming pool you can use on the lunch break, so bring your swimsuit and a towel to enjoy!

Can I pay through an E-Transfer instead of a Credit Card?

Absolutely! Just inform Mandy at meyogakw@gmail.com that you’d like to register and pay through E-Transfer.

If I can’t attend for any reason, is a refund possible?

As per our established policy, which helps us manage the many preparatory aspects of our events, the fee would remain non-refundable. You can give your ticket to a friend or family member if you can’t attend and in rare circumstances, the fee maybe be transferrable to another course.

Have a question that you don’t see here? Email Mandy at meyogakw@gmail.com.
